About Me
Hi, I am Jessica Genord. I am a graduate of South Lyon High School. In college I am planning to study psychology. Through my studies I hope to decide if clinical therapy is the path that is right for me, career wise.
I aspire to help people in ways that change their lives for the better. I have had my own personal experience being on the receiving end of help in this field and that was what really sparked my deep interest in it.
I enjoy things activities like playing piano, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Piano has taught me a lot about myself as a learner and person in general. I hope to travel all across the globe throughout my life. New places excite and intrigue me greatly. My family is one of the most important things in my life and I cherish all of the moments I spend with them.

South Lyon High School
2016 - 2021
At South Lyon High School I was active in activities/sports such as varsity pom and key club. I was the captain of my pom team my senior year. I had a 3.5 GPA and was on the honor roll all 4 years.
Oakland Community College
2021 - 2023
I attend OCC and am majoring in psychology. After I after I attend Oakland and plan on transferring to a 4 year college out of state and continue my studies.

Carrie Thomason
Carrie managed me while I was employed at Three Cedars Farm. I worked for her for the 2020 fall season. They are a family run farm and cider mill. I got the privilege of learning about work ethic and efficiency and loved becoming a part of their welcoming family of staff.
Katee Buddenborg
Katee was my coach on my high school's varsity pom team for 4 years. We built a strong relationship over the years and she was a big mentor for me throughout my high school years.
Jill Munoz
I have babysat for Jill's 2 children for 4 years. They have also been neighbors and great family friends for 11 years now. She has watched me grow up and I have enjoyed watching and being a part of her children growing up

Work Experience
Three Cedars Farm
Three Cedars Farm is a popular local cider mill. I was employed from Sept. 2020 - Nov. 2020. I did not have one specific position, as each day looked different, but My most common placements were cashier, filler (for cashier behind the counter), and kitchen (doughnut sugaring). I got a chance to get to know a lot of inspiring and helpful management/coworkers and it was my first real feel of the responsibility that comes from a job.
Ritters Frozen Custard
Ritters is an ice cream and custard shop in a neighboring town from me. I was employed at Ritters from Sept. 2020 - Nov. 2020. I was an ice cream server and scooper. Throughout my time at Ritters I grew my strength in memorization and helping the costumers with what they needed.
